Polytetrahydrofuran (PTMEG), also known as polytetramethylene ether glycol, is a white waxy solid easily soluble in alcohols, esters, ketones, aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorinated hydrocarbons, insoluble in ester fatty acids and water.
